OLCC continued their long standing relationship with Box Hill Cricket Club in Melbourne ([ictured above), with a further 3 players from Box Hill playing for the club at the beginning of the Century.
The original relationship started back in 1989 when four players from BHCC John Maartensz (Oxted), Daryl Farmer (Oxted), Chris Parsons (Limpsfield) and Jason McNulty (Limpsfield) played for the then separate clubs.

Back in the day clubs could have two overseas players, however, only one could play in the 1st XI each weekend so they would alternate.

The original “Awesome Foursome” inspired many more BHCC players to come across to OLCC with their tales of cricket and fun. The four of them shared a flat in Caterham on the Hill and would set “world records” of how many times you could drive around the Caterham roundabout on the way home after games.

Since 1989 there has been at least 20 players from Box Hill represent OLCC in one game or another.

A number of OLCC players have played for Box Hill. Neil Meadows, Chris Mankelow and Lee Dunn all have seasons with the 'Mustangs' in Melbourne.
