The 1st XI has seen a resurgence in recent years, winning the Fullers League Cup in 2009 and the Fullers League in 2010, followed by becoming Surrey Championship Division 5 Champions in 2012 and Division 4 Champions in 2014.
Several of our overseas players have had a substantial impact on our progress, with a conscious decision in 2008 to recruit players who would both provide valuable coaching to the colts, but who could also make a strong contribution to the senior playing strength. Satyajit Parab (who was the Tour Manager for the Indian Test Team in England in 2014) came in 2007 and although he took a while to settle, averaged 40 in 11 league games as we finished 4th. In 2008 and From 2009 to 2011 Kiwi, Sam Curtis, scored just under 2000 runs at an average of 48 in 59 games.
From 2012 until 2021, we were then privileged to have Jamaican Simon Jackson join us and to date he amassed 7852 runs in 175 games at an average of 59.48. Simon's 174* in May 2019 equalled the long-standing record set by Stuart Walker.
