NO BUTS IT WAS A STUFFING BY RUTS

OLCC posted a decent total of 118-8 against a very impressive and disciplined (only 2 extras in the whole innings) table topping Old Ruts side.

With a strong batting line-up featuring one county player and a couple of District players OLCC knew we would have to bowl as well as the opposition and field strongly. Unfortunately we didn't. We bowled too short and were fairly poor in the field. Old Ruts reached their target without losing a wicket in the 16th over. Sometimes you have to hold your hands up and acknowledge that we were beaten by a better team.

Today could have been Luke Woolard's last game for the club (Luke is off to Boarding school). Luke has been at OLCC forever and always been fantastically enthusiastic about his cricket. It was great to see him top score today with 22. Hopefully we will be able to drag him back for a game or two in the future.
