Very Capel'able.

A great win last night for the U14 ESCL side. Against a decent Capel attack, OLCC batted sensibly (at times a little too sensibly with the urgency of running that would have put tired old men to shame) and posted a total of 115 (Oli topped scored with 26 but Toby 25, Joe 21 and Stan all made decent contributions).

If the batting was ok the bowling and fielding was excellent. Ben B bowled the opening bat with the first delivery of Capel's reply. This set the tone. Toby picked up another and then Kit and Oli removed the 2 danger men - both hitting off stump. Daragh, Stan and Will picked up important wickets. Joe picked up 2 in consecutive balls (1 a decent stumping by Ethan) and Jake and Jonny (great slip catch) also bowled well. As the glorious sun set below the gas holder OLCC cruised to victory.
